College Savings Account with Matching Funds

College Savings Account With Matching Funds – College Savings Accounts with matching funds are individual or family savings accounts that are sponsored by states, foundations, non-profit organizations, faith-based organizations, grants from the U.S. Federal Government, corporations, and businesses. The sponsoring organization provides some percentage of matching funds based on the amount of money the individual contributes to the account. For instance a non-profit agency will contribute $2.00 to the account for each $1.00 the individual contributes to the account. These funds can typically be used to pay for tuition, living expenses, and fees while enrolled in college. Some accounts may be used to pay back student loans.
